Using Mobile Phone Cameras over Digital Cameras

There are many consumers who think that digital cameras will soon be replaced by cell phones because they offer many great camera features on top of the other cellular phone capabilties they already posses. There was an important study performed by optical component experts Schneider Kreuznach that verifies the capabilities of cellular device photography. Approximately 1,000 camera users from different countries were interviewed regarding how they prefer to take photographs. Many of the interviewed camera users agreed that due to the technologically advanced features of cell phones, they believe that smart phone cameras provide users with better quality pictures.

Thirty-two percect of the people that were interviewed would still rather use their digital cameras. There were a large number of users from Asia that were very open to using cell phones for all of their picture taking needs. They even said that they would easily trade-off their digital camera for a high-end smart phone should they be given the chance to.

The great thing is that cell phone manufacturers are aware of what is needed to produce a phone that has a high quality resolution with stronger lens system. It is already a known fact that many of the major brand manufacturers of smart phones have teamed up with digital camera manufacturers to create even stronger and updated devices for the future. This joint venture will prove to be a vital role in the advancement of cell phone camera options. Their other features like calling, text, e-mail, web browsing, gaming, and entertainment have already brought smart phones to the number one type of electronic device in the world. Besides the ever popular iPhone, some of the top brands include Motorola Droid 3 accessories, Samsung Conquer 4G accessories and Samsung Function accessories along with their camera functions.

Becuase of consumer demand for better quality cameras on smart phones, manufacturers have worked hard to meet these demands. Consumers are also beginning to realize that there is no longer a need to carry both a digital camera and a mobile device to take pictures. One of the only limitations of current cell phone cameras is that they do offer users a limited space for photo storage. However, as the resolution becomes sharper by increasing the amount of megapixels, the storage capacity will increase.

Many of the high-end digital cameras are still more optimized for photography because they can take higher quality pictures than mobile devices. However, casual picture takers are not really concerned with these differences. What attracts many customers to mobile devices is that they offer many great features all in one, small, easy to carry device. With many technological advancements to come, it will not be long before mobile devices can take pictures with the same quality of high-end digital cameras.
